Conventions of a Music Video

Looking at the codes and conventions of a music video will benefit me in terms of the production of my video - planning, filming and editing - as certain genres of music use different conventions to others. For example, a pop music video will be entirely different to that of a heavy metal music video. By sticking to the codes and conventions of my chosen genre will also allow the demographic that it is targeted at to connect with the product.
